In September 2000, Matt attended the Alberta College Multimedia Program in downtown Edmonton. The wide range of courses included: web design using Dreamweaver, graphics and image editing using Photoshop and Illustrator, audio editing and sound design, layout, authoring, and 3D graphics. He completed 6 months of the program and withdrew in the Spring of 2001 due to health problems. Although he never completed the program, the knowledge and skills he gained have kept him self-employed, and busy with his own creative multimedia projects, for the past seven years.

Recently, he enrolled in several classes taken online, through E-classes.org, in association with the IWA (International Webmasters Association). Over the past year he has completed 5 courses, four of which combined to earn him the Web Graphics and Multimedia Certificate.
